The Revenge (of the Man Whose Treasure was Stolen by Another Man)

Well, we’re releasing the video early.  Rather than tomorrow (Sunday), we’ll be showing you our latest movie.  And it is not an Alistair Watkins show, either.  This movie idea was sparked by my mother, who wanted to see a video of our room.  She wanted to see how we arranged it, etc.  I had made a video of my room last year, and she just wanted a virtual tour.  Well, we didn’t settle for that.  Instead, we show our shamelessness in a horror flick with the same title as this post (I don’t feel like typing the entire thing again).  The movie is completely original (music and all).  Some of the music can be found on my music page, and I may upload the rest later.

It is a silent film with narration (by me, Curtis).  The action is as cheesy as we could make it.  The “blood” is complements of Hunt’s ™ ketchup.

SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  SPOILERS!  ———————————————————————————————————--

In case you didn’t understand the movie, Robby stole Curtis’ pen.  Curtis is chasing him to get it back.  He gets it back.  Robby almost dies in the process.  That’s pretty much the entire plot.  If you watch to the end, you will find that the blooper reel is about par with the actual movie.

You guys are pretty interesting and that is all I have to say.
Who am I kidding? I have more to say. Here it goes.
Robby, why all the gratuitous up-nostril shots? I saw so much more of the inside of your nostrils than I EVER thought I would in my whole life, and I’m shorter than you so I’ve planned for more nostril than anyone should have to.
Curtis, I liked the very slow removal of shades and jacket while your adversary bounced in place like some sort of video game fighter. Also, the way you took out the chair during the first action scene…it was very unnecessary unless perhaps the chair was in cahoots with Robby and we just didn’t know that. Maybe that chair attack was VITAL to the retrieval of the pen. What do I know?
    To the both of you:
Cheesy does not BEGIN to describe those action sequences. Nicely done. My favorite part of the whole film was the part where Robby was standing veeeeeeery still in mid-stride as if he were invisible. Also, I am jealous of the apple laptop I saw on someone’s desk. I don’t know for sure whose it is, but I felt a pang of covetous sickness when I saw it and a voice in my head said, “if you kill the owner, it can be yours.”
Luckily, I rarely listen to the voices.

Katie…that whole voices thing…I’m-a need you to handle that. Like, seriously go get that checked out. LOL. Great movie guys.  You two are so retarded. Your narrations were very Lemony Snicket-ish. Those action scenes were so cheesy it was worthy of Chuck Norris. It’s just too bad you couldn’t clap Robby upside the head with one hand. Chuck Norris could do that. Also, I like the room setup, it’s very…….nerdy lol. I cant think of a better way to put it so there. Is that a mixer board? Oh no you didnt! Mixer board? Prevo. Why do you save all the cool stuff for after I leave. Sheesh. Anyways, great video, and the angry keyboards song worked out nicely in the video. On another note, I think some major music producers must use FL Studio (or at least certain sounds from it) because I recognize some of the hits and kicks in some other songs I’ve heard. Anyway, I also loved the new track at the end…good stuff.

  • I’m surprised no one has commented on the fact that we remove our jackets periodically. If you watch carefully, Curtis only has his for about half the scenes.

Katy, you know that you love the nostril, like a work of art. Michelangelo’s Nostril.

And the mixer board. . . He brought it into the room, giddy as a school girl. And he promptly set it up. It took him. . . about a minute and a half from start to finish. Then he was yelling quietly into a mic at a frequency of 2 hertz or whatever. The room was silently shaking.

  • Katy, you surely know nose.  And that chair attack… was completely my plan.  I wanted to take out the chair.  I just thought it would add some sort of comic effect.  Apparently it worked.  Also, the Apple laptop is actually laptopS.  We both have Macs now.  And we both have them on our desks.  Sorry.  Had to rub it in.

And Stephen, I definitely agree with your Lemony and Chuck comparisons.  We tried.  And we are definitely nerds, too.  Yes, that is a mixing board.  I got it from my work.  They were getting rid of it.  It’s pretty old, but it serves my purposes well.  Also, glad you enjoyed the music!

Yes, Robby and I purposely took our jackets off and had them back on several times through the movie.  If there is ever an IMDB page for the movie, it will have about 10 pages of “goofs”.  About 9 of them will be about lack of continuity.  I can see it now.  And it’s all for a 7-minute movie.

Oh mercy…you two…have you no SHAME??? That was near certain the most mirthfully heinous piece of film I believe I shall ever see. ‘Twas marvelous. Most especially appreciative of the short pause during brutalization for ketchup application, a tasteful touch.

  • Hi All,

Greetings to you and hope that all is well and you all had a good week. I know I did despite the weather here and there cold then warm then warmer than freezing then warm then cold and now rainy…Sigh… The joys….lol

On Monday it was MLK ( Martin Luther King Day) and Community Service Day. I hope that most of you or some have had a chance to be of good use and help to the community. I had a good day as well…

Now on Tuesday was President Obama’s Inaugural Celebration and here at Southern it was packed. Well all cramped into our library, caferteria, dining hall, student center as well all watched in anticipation and interest of the celebration. It was a good beginning and Aretha Franklin sang.. also there was a instrumental band including a violin, cello, piano and clarinet( I was not the clarinet player this time…:( oh well…).

Then there was a poetry reading and let me tell you if ur like me that really watch and listen in detail about things that poem was ….I don’t know what that was… well let’s just leave it at that…lol

Finally came the time for the new president to take oath of office and President Obama and the Chief stumbled on a few words lets say but they got through it.. I thought it was most pleasing and well said. Despite the fact the chief had changed the order of the words any hoo the nation had been in a stand still to watch such an event that will be history in our hearts and minds for yeas to come… I really enjoyed.

How about you? Please email me some feedback on what you thought of the Inauguration Please…. Hope to hear from some of you soon.

Thought for the week: PROTOCOL :

Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6

Exchange the dissatisfaction of doubt for the fulfillement of faith in God.

Overall I had an awesome week, how about you guys. Let me know…

God Bless and keep fit and have fun.

    Don’t forget your purpose.

    In Him,

    Rachel Angela Burgos (RAB) :)

  • Yes indeedy. I worked during MLKJ/Community Service day, and I also wrote about the inauguration as it happened.
Did you know he said he was going to “harness the sun” (proverbially, of course). I’m looking forward to seeing him lasso the sun and ride it down.
